IP67 vs IP68 vs IP69K: Which Waterproof Rating Do You Actually Need for Your Project?
IP67, IP68, and IP69K are three different levels of waterproof protection defined by IEC 60529 and ISO 20653. IP67 covers temporary immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. IP68 covers continuous immersion beyond 1 meter, with exact conditions defined by the manufacturer. IP69K covers high-pressure, high-temperature water jets — not immersion.
